This Eucalyptus Tree which had been standing for decades on a residential acreage at Mudgeeraba, failed at the roots after a storm went through the town. In this instance, thank goodness no one was injured in the process of the tree falling on the house. The highly experienced and qualified team at Tree Essence began the process of lifting the tree off the house onto the ground, by using simple Physics and a ‘Can do Attitude’.
There was another tree located behind the Eucalyptus tree, so we installed a pulley and a sling in this tree and attached a winch to the base. Then, using the pulley as the high point we put a ring in rope through the pulley to the top of the tree and winched it up, swung it around to the other side and moved it off the roof. However, we were able to cut off the excess that was on the roof before leveraging it down.
Our clients were extremely happy with the end result and recycled the timber from the tree for firewood and fence posts.
